Free Domain Name Instructions
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON OUR FREE DOMAIN NAME
OFFER!
We provide all fully paid account holders with a free .com,
.net, or .org domain name credit to be used with us.
This means that in order to take advantage of the free domain name,
you MUST login to open your account with the domain name that you
want to be the free domain name.
INSTRUCTIONS:
The following are instructions for scenarios where you will be eligible
for a free domain name:
-
You open an account with us, and the domain
name is NOT ALREADY REGISTERED and is a .com, .net, or a .org
domain name. In this case, we will simply register the domain
through our REGISTRAR, and we will take care of all the INTERNIC
fees on it for as long as you host with us.
INSTRUCTIONS:
You need to do nothing in this case. All is handled automatically.
-
You open an account with us, and the domain
name is ALREADY REGISTERED by NETWORKSOLUTIONS.COM and is a
.com, .net, or a .org domain name. In this case YOU MUST
DO THE FOLLOWING:
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Make sure we are listed as the ADMIN CONTACT on your
domain name: JW11619 - is the HANDLE THAT MUST BE LISTED. If
it is not, you must get it changed so that JW11619 is listed
as the ADMIN CONTACT.
2. The domain name must not be up for renewal for at
least 30 days. If you attempt to TRANSFER the domain to us with
a renewal date less than 30 days, NETWORKSOLUTIONS will reject
it and you will have to pay one more year of fees to NETWORKSOLUTIONS.
3. If both step 1 and 2 are both done (JW11619 is listed
as the ADMIN CONTACT AND the domain is not set to expire in
less than 30 days), EMAIL robert@mympc.com
the following information:
A: In the SUBJECT LINE place the following: "Please
INITIATE REGISTRAR TRANSFER FOR MY DOMAIN PLEASE"
B: In the BODY place the following: "Main Account
Domain Name that is currently registered with networksolutions.com,
has JW11619 listed as the ADMIN CONTACT AND is not set to expire
in less than 30 days."
(OF COURSE, replace Main Account Domain Name with your ACTUAL
DOMAIN NAME).
4. That's it. Now you must wait 10-14 business days for
this to complete. You will be notified when this is complete.
-
You open an account with a FOREIGN DOMAIN
NAME as the main account domain name. Examples include:
something.to, something.co.uk, something.as, something.ca, etc.
We CAN AND DO HOST ANY DOMAIN NAME including ALL FOREIGN DOMAINS,
but, we cannot REGISTER THEM FOR YOU, thus, you cannot use a
FOREIGN DOMAIN NAME as the FREE DOMAIN.

If you want to take advantage of the Free Domain Name Offer,
you will need to have your MAIN ACCOUNT DOMAIN NAME CHANGED.
